Foundation Trust

We became North East London NHS Foundation Trust on 1 June 2008.

Being a Foundation Trust means that we work slightly differently from other NHS organisations. We are still firmly part of the NHS, and are subject to the same standards and inspection frameworks as all other NHS Trusts, but we have greater freedoms in how we use our resources to improve facilities for patient care. Through our Council of Governors and our Membership. local people can have a greater say in how their local health services are run.

Join us and have your say

We continually strive to ensure that those who use our services and their families and carers are fully involved in our decision making. Becoming a Member of our Trust is a great way for you to learn more about what we do, have your say and have a direct influence on the decisions we take.

Our Governors

Our Governors provide an 'ear and voice' for our Foundation Trust Members, ensuring that their views are heard and their opinions on the future delivery and development of services influence the Trust Board's decisions.
