About our Governors

Our Governors are a vitally important part of the Trust. Through our Governors we are able to remain close to the communities we serve. They provide both ‘an ear and a voice’ to our members, ensuring that their views are heard and their opinions on the development and delivery of services influence the decisions of the Trust Board of Directors. The Council of Governors appoints the Chair and the Non Executive Directors of the Board and also works with the Board to determine the future strategic direction of the Trust. The Board accounts to the Council of Governors annually on the quality of the services we provide and the financial position of the Trust through the Annual Report and Quality Accounts.
