The Assertive Outreach Time provides intensive care in the community to people with mental health needs, with an emphasis on recovery and helping service users to return to normal living.

We aim to meet the needs of people who may have experienced mental illness for a long time, have been in and out of hospital several times, find it difficult to keep in contact with other mental health services, or who have complex needs. Our services are flexible and responsive to the needs of our individual service users.

Our staff are able spend more time with service users than other community teams, so that they can concentrate on doing more with people who need a lot of help. This means that people with the greatest needs receive support when they need it.
