Description of service

The North Community Mental Health Team is an integrated specialist Mental Health Team.  Community based, providing a range of time limited therapeutic interventions and treatments for adults aged 16-65 with severe and long standing mental health problems residing in the North Locality in Waltham Forest.  The team consists of mental health practitioners from a range of professional backgrounds.

We aim to work closely with our Service Users and their Carers.  To provide professional treatment and support that is based on need and informed by our service users Recovery & Wellbeing action plan, as well as their agreed Care Plan based on the Trusts CPA framework.  The treatment services provided for Users and their Carers often include collaboration and a referral to other partner agencies and organisations.

Referrals to the team are received through the Duty Access Service, Home Treatment Team and Naseberry Court un-patient Unit
