Supply shortage of medicines for ADHD

The Department of Health and Social Care have alerted us that there is national supply disruption of the medication prescribed to help manage ADHD symptoms. This  is caused by a combination of manufacturing issues and an increased global demand.

Kent & Medway CYPMHS referral information

CYPMHS stands for the Children and Young People's Mental Health Service. Kent CYPMHS provides emotional wellbeing and mental health advice and support for young people and their families across Kent.

Kent and Medway Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) provide a range of support services. To ensure your referral is directed correctly, please complete the form on the link below with as much detail as possible. This includes referrals for Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments. Please check the table below to ensure that your child is referred to the correct service for Autism and ADHD diagnosis. Some of these services are provided by other NHS trusts.

You will receive a confirmation email that your referral has been submitted.

If you don't get an email within a few minutes, check your junk folder, or call 0800 011 3474 to speak to a member of the team. You will be given the option to download a copy of your referral as you submit for your own records.

  • If you are in a Mental Health Crisis or require out of hours support, please call NHS 111 — Mental health help option 2.
  • Alternatively, if you are looking for emotional support or just want to talk to someone, you can text “Kent” or “Medway” to 85258 for 24 hour mental health crisis support via text (provided by SHOUT). 
  • If your concerns escalate about your child or young person, please call NHS 111 — Mental health help option 2. If it is an emergency, immediate danger to life/safety dial 999 or visit Accident and Emergency (A&E).
