NELFT hosted the Make a Difference Awards and Staff Celebration

The Make a Difference Awards and Staff Celebration was held on Thursday 30 March and proved to be a huge success. The event took place at Stock Brook Manor in Billericay and was attended by around 250 staff members who were present to see the Make a Difference Award winners announced. The evening event included a drinks reception, awards presentation, buffet and music.

The Make a Difference Award scheme recognises our staff who go the extra mile in their roles. Every month, all the winners are published on the staff intranet and recognised at team meetings, where managers award a thank you card and lapel pin.

At end of the 12-month period the Executive Management team form a judging panel and then decide an overall winner in each category.

How does the Make a Difference process work?

When completing the nomination form, include as much supporting evidence as possible which displays how and why the nominee deserves a Make a Difference award.

Once the communications team has received your nomination form, it will be sent directly to the nominee’s line manager to ensure they deserve to be celebrated for their outstanding work and dedication.

Every month, all the winners will be published on the staff intranet and recognised at team meetings, where the manager will award a thank you card and lapel pin.

All substantive staff, including those on Bank and volunteers can be nominated. Please note, locums and agency staff cannot be nominated for a Make a Difference award.

Nominations for future Make a Difference Awards will be open on the intranet from May 1 2017. A future announcement will be made available to staff via the weekly roundup newsletter
