NELFT’s MyMind app wins an NHS award

A NELFT mental health app has scooped the Award for Digital Innovation at the 2017 NHS Digital Pioneer Awards. The MyMind app was co-designed by young people and clinicians at the Trust, with the project being co-founded by Emma Selby, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Sam Illaiee, Operational Lead for Children’s Specialist Services.

The College of Occupational Therapists awards NELFT employee a Fellowship

Dr Jennifer Wenborn has been awarded a Fellowship by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) in recognition of her exceptional service and outstanding contribution to the profession and the organisation. This award is the highest honour that the College can bestow on one of its professional members. It is a very prestigious accolade, awarded following significant review and consideration by eminent members of the occupational therapy profession. A formal award ceremony will be held in September this year.

DCS Team represents NELFT at the Dementias 2017 conference

The Dementia Crisis Support Team presented a poster at the Dementias 2017 conference at the Royal College of General Practitioners in Euston recently.

The DCST are based at Brentwood Community Hospital and provides support for people with dementia, and their carers, to manage a period of crisis and avoid admission to hospital where possible. The team won the prestigious HSJ Award for Specialist Services Redesign in November 2016.
