Description of service

The Havering Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Team aim to assist people who may be or are experiencing first episode psychosis, and to reduce the Duration of Untreated Psychosis (DUP) which currently can be up to two years.


The EIP team will provide access to care and treatment at the earliest time, in order to minimise the effect that psychosis has upon their lives and those that care for them. The EIP Team aim to maximise the psychological and physical well-being of those people cared for by the team. This will be achieved by a continuous team based approach to care of up to three years duration.


The EIP team aim to provide support and psycho education for those who care for the EIP teams clients. This will be achieved through working in partnership with carers.
