Referral to Moore Ward:

Referrals are accepted from NHS Consultant psychiatrists, and must be accompanied by primary care funding authorisation. We take national referrals, with the majority of our service-users coming from North East London. Referrals are typically planned although they may be effected at very short notice if required.

Pre-admission assessments are undertaken following referral prior to service-users being accepted to the unit. We work closely with referrers and commissioners to agree care pathways and discharge plans throughout admission. When a person is ready to be discharged, but cannot be due to issues within the power of the borough or primary care trust (for example housing issues) we will notify all relevant parties. In these instances, full care price will continue to be charged.
