NELFT Medical Education department scoops four awards
NELFT’s Medical Education department had a successful evening at the UCLPartners PGMDE awards ceremony last month. Staff members took home four awards from the event, on Wednesday 29 March, which recognised the work of NHS Trusts and Higher Education partners in North East and North Central London. The four awards came after the Medical Education department scooped a further three prizes at last year’s ceremony.
The four award winners were:
Dr Bini Thomas and Dr Aarohee Desai-Gupta - Best Simulation Programme
Neetu Nandra - Best Medical Education Manager
Dr Flavia Napoletano - Highly commended for the Core Trainee of the Year
Dr Andrew Soutter - Highly commended for Training Programme Director of the Year
Mohan Bhat, Director of the Medical Education department, said: “It was a very proud moment sitting at the event where four staff from NELFT Medical Education won awards. This was acknowledging the work in the individual respective categories across the region for last year.
“The nominations in each category were of a very high standard from across the different trusts in this region and hence these awards are validation of their dedicated sincere, hard work of very high quality. I congratulate everyone on their success and their contribution in delivering a very high standard of education and training in NELFT.”
Caroline Allum, Executive Medical Director, said: “I am extremely proud of Mohan and his team. They work tirelessly to ensure that Postgraduate Medical Education at NELFT is of the highest quality for all our trainees. I want to thank everyone for their continued effort. These awards are well deserved and underpin that PGME excel in what they do.”
