The pioneering Lambeth Early Onset Team (LEO) was one of the first services of its kind and is available seven days a week. Talking therapy for psychosis – for many years the only form of treatment available for people with psychosis was medication. Researchers at the Trust developed and successfully piloted a form of talking therapy called Improving Access to Psychological Therapies for people with severe mental illness (IAPT-SMI) to help people with schizophrenia understand their delusions. Forensic Services The Trust’s innovative approach to forensic care has resulted in creative solutions, such as the use of GPS tracking devices to facilitate more therapeutic leave, reducing absconding rates and decreasing length of stay.
