With an extensive and colourful history dating back to the First World War, the Trust offers a number of evidence-based psychological approaches and its trainings are grounded in these approaches. Clinical services are predominantly delivered in London and the home counties, but it is the Trust’s ambition to deliver services beyond this patch. Students attend the Trust’s training from across the UK and beyond. The Trust undertakes 50% clinical work and 50% training work (income based). Clinical Services The majority of Tavistock and Portman’s work is with children, young people and families but it does also deliver a number of specialist services for adults. Flagship services include the Gender Identity Development Service, the only service of this kind in the UK to work with children and young people.
