Geoffrey Farmer
I am 61 years old and a retired engineer / IT professional. I graduated from Queen Mary, London, in 1984 with a PhD in Electronic Engineering and spent my entire working life in the telecommunications sector.
I have lived in Havering since 1969 and I have a long history of voluntary service with the NHS. From 1988 to 2006 I worked as a volunteer in the Accident and Emergency department at Oldchurch Hospital and I am now in my third and final term as a NELFT public governor serving Havering since 2014.
For many years I have represented Havering as an involvement representative, both as a service user and as a carer, in various areas but concentrating on mental health.
My leisure interests include cooking, music and model making.
