I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. My parents are Greek. I graduated Medicine in Sofia, Bulgaria. I qualified as an adult Neurologist in Athens, Greece in 1992. I worked as a Neurologist in the University of Larissa, Greece for two years.
I immigrated to South Africa in 1993 and qualified as a Paediatrician there in 1998. I worked as a Head of Department in Leratong Hospital in Johannesburg and had my own private practice.
I immigrated in 2002 to the UK and have worked in the NHS as a Consultant Paediatrician since.
I am married. My husband is an Orthopedic Consultant in Northampshire Hospital. I have one daughter. She is married and has two children. She works as a Senior Consultant in PWC in Sydney.
