Martin Boyle

I am a local resident who is passionately committed to our NHS, its staff and patients. I am determined to ensure that NELFT responds fully to your needs.

Originally from Sunderland, I moved to Walthamstow in 1995. Since then, I have worked as an English-language teacher, university lecturer and professional interpreter. I speak fluent Spanish and Portuguese and good Mandarin Chinese. My daughter was born at Whipps.

I have hands-on experience as a patient and as a member of my GP patient participation group. I take a particular interest in three areas: first - A&E services at Whipps; second - effective communication and support for staff and patients when English is not their first language; third - effective community drug and alcohol services to take pressure off Whipps.
