We are pleased to announce that our chair, Joe Fielder, has been successfully appointed as the chair of Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT). This role will be in addition to his role as chair of NELFT.

Joe said: “I am proud and privileged to be joining BHRUT.  What’s particularly exciting is the opportunity presented by chairing two fantastic, but separate and distinct, organisations; to have a unique and broad perspective across the length and breadth of local NHS services, which can help create improved collaborations for the best outcomes.

I look forward to working with staff, at both BHRUT and NELFT, along with key local partners, and most importantly, our patients, to do just that.”

NELFT chief executive, John Brouder said: “I would like to congratulate Joe and welcome his appointment as Chair of BHRUT. This is a positive step to increase the collaboration and partnership working between our respective Trusts and this will benefit our patients and local community.”
