NELFT was recognised as the sixth in a league table of all London Trusts offering pioneering studies for record numbers of NHS patients that are being enrolled for clinical trials.
This was conducted by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and this is among several research tables that NELFT leads in.
Russell Razzaque is the Director of Research for NELFT and leads on the Open Dialogue initiative for connecting networks of family and friends in a new person-centered model of Care - another pioneering approach that NELFT is leading on.
On hearing the news he said:
"This is a great testament to the hard work of our R&D team. We go out proactively looking for promising studies to back and we work tirelessly with numerous partners, both in the NHS and in academia, to help design, manage and deliver those studies.”
“We are running some of the UK's largest mental health trials and overall, including physical health, we very much punch above our weight. Our record, as a result, speaks for itself and we are very proud of it, especially when we receive some national recognition like this."
