Our new mental health service partnership
In 2021, The Collaborative Commissioning Forum for Southend, Essex and Thurrock specified their commissioning intentions for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) provision through a public tender process with the new contract commencing from 1st April 2022. NELFT and HCRG Care Group successfully bid as a partnership, with NELFT being the lead provider.
The NELFT and HCRG Care Group partnership entails sharing the workforce and activity to deliver an integrated model of care. This will enable both partners to bring their strengths to the service and to achieve the ambition of reducing waiting times for children and young people. With NELFT being the incumbent provider of the entire contract, some of the current service activity will transfer across to HCRG Care Group.
The new partnership with NELFT will allow HCRG Care Group to build on their work over the last four years through the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service with a view to providing a positive impact on the lives of our Southend, Essex and Thurrock children and young people.
As part of the new partnership, from the 1st of April 2022, HCRG Care Group will have access to patient record information held by NELFT . This is to ensure the continued high quality service provision as HCRG Care Group commence managing parts of the service.
