Family nurse partnership

The family nurse partnership is a national evidence-based programme of intensive therapeutic support for teenage parents. The purpose of the programme is to support parents to make healthy choices about lifestyles and relationships and to support them to build their confidence and self-efficacy. Overall the aim is to enable them to have strong, warm attachment to their baby that optimises the life chances for them both. The team support young parents back to education and work wherever possible.

Opening times: 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

The service also offers free condom distribution for all under 25 year olds: 9am - 3pm at Chingford Health Centre. This is part of the come correct service. The team also offer free Chlamydia screening for young people.

Referrals

Referrals accepted from GP practices, acute consultants, midwives, and social care services. Patients can also self refer. Please refer to the For clinicians page for more information.
