Waterfalls is a day patient service. The service cares for young people aged 12 to 18 years old who have been admitted for various psychological, behavioural and emotional issues. Young people admitted are offered a comprehensive treatment package involving an assessment programme. This programme incorporates educational, social and familial interventions. There is an extensive multidisciplinary team onsite, which includes consultant psychiatrists, junior doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists, education staff and nurses. The young people attend between 9am and 3pm for up to 5 days a week during their admission.

We involve parents and carers in all aspects of the young person's treatment.

This is a service available nationally. NELFT internal referrals are via INTERACT. All other referrals are via A&E services or Tier 3 CAMHS only.
