Nightingale patient stories
Khalile has been recuperating on the ward at NHS Nightingale in London and is going home today (19 January). He has shared the following thoughts on his time recovering:
“The nurses have looked after me really well and I have received great care here.
I would love to come back to see everyone who has treated me now that I am well enough to go home.
The food has been good – but sadly there wasn’t any champagne!
I am looking forward to getting back home to my wife – ready steady go!”

“I have received fantastic care throughout my time at the hospital. I’d like to let all new patients know that it’s a really good place.
I feel like new man after my stay – I feel really confident and ready to go home. They have worked me hard here – I climbed the stairs on my own this morning – and it’s been great.
I’m happy to know that there is help if I need it once I go home, but I can’t wait to get back and have a curry for dinner!”
