I am the chair of Staffside and an accredited trade union representative. I have represented staff within NELFT for the last 8 years, and have been deeply involved in policy development, consultation and staff dispute.

I also work as a specialist podiatrist and am the front line of clinical work. I thus fully understand what issues and difficulties staff face on a day to day basis. I ensure that problems are considered when strategic decisions are made by the board through my voice on the NELFT governors forum.

My experience of working within various committees and Charing meeting means that I always engage and advocate in a proactive way.
