Working with you - How you shape our teams
Nobody knows what works for you better than you. Our service is proud to work closely with children, young people, parents, carers, and schools to ensure our resources and support are as helpful as they can be.
Here are some of our projects.
Naming our service
Some students told us that they didn’t like the name given to the teams nationally: ‘Mental Health Support Team’. Therefore, we worked with young people in Kent and Medway to find local names for our teams. So, we have our Emotional Wellbeing Teams in Kent and our Emotional Support Teams in Medway.
The Get Arty competition
Last year we held an art competition for primary school children to design some cartoons for our teams. We were astounded by their talented entries! Not only did children create the art, but we had a panel of young judges aged 8-9 to select the winners.
Please enjoy the entries from our finalists and winners!
Mental Health Awareness Week
In 2021 the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week was ‘nature’. We went out to our schools to take part in in decorating stones and leaves with everything that helps our wellbeing.
