Football tournament

A group of six teams from our Acute Rehabilitation Directorate (ARD) competed in a very enthusiastic football tournament.

The entry fees for the competition were donated to the Health Way Foundation. The winning team (Havering Home Treatment Team) will now be in discussions with the charity in ways best to ensure that these funds go towards the  team in the most suitable way possible.

Sponsored walk - Seven Sisters

The team at Kent and Medway Adolescent Hospital have planned to undertake the 13 mile hike from Seaford to Eastbourne across the Seven Sister Cliffs on 11 November 2023.

The funding will go towards developing a fenced off space at the unit into a sustainable area for young people to have outdoor access to green spaces.  This area will allow for both sensory and horticultural therapy to support the young people while they are on the unit.

Lauren raised £900 through a skydive

Lauren raised £900 through a skydive

Jumping out of a plane may not be on everyone’s bucket list but for one young woman this was an achievement not just conquering the skies but also a way to say thank you to those who helped save her life.

Approaching local businesses to support her, and setting up her own tombola to raise money for her sky dive, Lauren raised £900 for the Health Way Foundation.
