How you can support us

The NELFT NHS Charity is doing everything it can to raise funds to enhance our Trust environments, patient activities, staff wellbeing, innovation and non-essential equipment so that it can help patients access the best possible care when they need it the most, now and into the future. You can help us too!

We would love for you to be able to support us in any way possible. Make a regular gift

Direct debits can be set up with your bank at an amount that you can afford to pay on a regular basis. This ongoing and regular support from you can help us to do more. For more information, contact charity@nelft.nhs.uk.

Volunteering

You may prefer to give us some of your time. We are always happy to have wonderful people give up their time to support us with our projects. Please contact us to discuss further at charity@nelft.nhs.uk.

Leave a gift in your will

This is known as a residuary legacy and it is stated as all or as a percentage (%) of your remaining estate, once all fees, outstanding costs and other gifts have been taken care of. Even a small percentage of your estate, after providing for family and loved ones, can make a real difference.

Making a gift of a fixed sum of money

This is called a pecuniary legacy.  You can link your legacy to the Retail Price Index to ensure that the value of the gift you make today is worth the same in the future.  This will prevent your gift from decreasing in value over time.

Leaving a gift other than money

A gift called a specific legacy enables you to leave specific assets such as property, stocks and shares or other valuables if you so wish.

Postponing your gift

Known as a reversionary legacy, this gift allows you to leave your estate, or part of it, on trust for the benefit of a particular person during their lifetime. They benefit from using the assets, or receiving the income from them, during their life. Upon their death, the assets pass to other chosen beneficiaries (called ‘reversionary beneficiaries’) such as the NELFT NHS Charity.

Why donate?

Give in memory

Donating in memory of a loved one can be a special way to honour a special person during a difficult time. There are many ways you can create a lasting tribute to their memory, while supporting a charity that is dedicated to unforgettable care.

Give in celebration

Celebrating something special? Whether it's a big birthday, a white wedding, or a marvellous milestone, by fundraising for NELFT NHS Charity as part of your special occasion you'll be helping to change the lives of thousands of people.

Christmas or birthday? Consider asking your loved ones to make a donation in lieu of buying gifts.

Wedding or anniversary? Consider making a donation on behalf of your guests in lieu of party favours.

Recovery milestone? Consider taking on a sponsored challenge to support the service or department that cared for you.

Let us know what you're planning and we will be happy to provide you with all the support you need. Contact our fundraising team at charity@nelft.nhs.uk and browse through our fundraising resources.
