National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome & Death (NCEPOD) study

NELFT is participating in the National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome & Death (NCEPOD) study.  This is Transition from child to adult health services study.  The study aims to explore the barriers and facilitators in the process of the transition of young people with complex chronic conditions from child to adult health services. 

  

What we have done so far 

Patient identifier spreadsheet A data was received from Trust’s BI & Performance team 

Patient identifier spreadsheet B received from the National audit office, for a random selected sample of 15 cases, missing information was retrieved from RiO regarding service user journey, condition, referral and treatment etc. 

Case-note extracts required for 6 random selected cases were retrieved from RiO and have been sent to the national office. 

  

What we are working on at present 

Clinicians involved in the care of the service user are invited through a webtool, to complete a questionnaire about the quality of care. 

3 out of 5 Clinician questionnaires required, have been completed at present, deadline for completion is 9th Oct 2022.
