Student Placement

Did you know that we host students on placement? This month QIS hosted two Degree Nursing Apprentices as part of the harm free care circuit.  The aims of teams within the harm free care circuit are to monitor and support staff in the delivery of safe effective quality care for patients.  Students will have the opportunity to visit a variety of clinical setting and observe care through the lens of the specialist services.

The students were able to meet various members of the QI services, learn about QI & Clinical audit and how we support and work alongside staff to develop their improvement ideas using quality improvement methodology and associated supportive tools.

We received great feedback from them about their placement and one student stated “This virtual placement was so organised and structured that I didn’t feel lost or usure at any time of the day what I was doing. By far the best virtual placement I have experienced. As a student and experiencing a day with the QI team I felt I have learnt so much that will benefit me in my future in the NHS”.
