With the increasing strain that the UK Healthcare system is facing, Physician Associates are one of the dynamic ways in which healthcare providers are looking to improve. NELFT are proud to be involved with the Queen Mary’s University London Physician Associate MSc course. Our medical education department runs their psychiatry curriculum. This includes running the teaching programme and assisting with their examination process. A large number of the PA students will also complete their psychiatric placements within the Trust.  

This unique opportunity allows NELFT to stay at the forefront of medical education and healthcare provision. Creating a diverse multidisciplinary team to serve our patients and also provide an extensive range of teaching opportunities for staff within NELFT.

We are pleased to have appointed 3 physician associates to support the inpatient units from Summer 2021.
