Overview

Summary

This is an online survey for people who have experienced depression or anxiety. Depression is when someone feels very sad or empty for a long time. Anxiety is when someone feels very worried or scared, even if there is no real danger. The study wants to know if our genes affect how anxious or depressed people feel.Genes are like instructions inside our bodies that we get from our parents.

What is the study about?

You can watch a 1-minute video which explains the study here.

This study wants to learn how people live with symptoms of anxiety and depression.  It will ask 40.000 people about their health and how they feel. They want to know if their genes can explain why they feel sad or worried.

What is the study trying to find out?

The main goal is to learn more about what causes depression and anxiety.
