The primary mental health team (PMHT) is part of Barking and Dagenham child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). We are a specialist service which aims to bridge the gap between universal services such as schools, children's centres, youth services and other specialist services.

We work with children and young people (up to 18 years) and their families who are experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties but do not require the multi-disciplinary service of our child and family consultation (CFCS) colleagues within CAMHS.
