The annual NELFT sports, health and wellbeing event is this year being held in memory of Jane Atkinson, our late Chair. The Jane Atkinson sports and wellbeing day is on Wednesday 13 July 2016.

Jane was passionate about both mental and physical wellbeing and started the NELFT sports day event in 2006 following the announcement that London’s Olympic bid had been successful. Starting out as an event to encourage staff to ‘Get fit for 2012’, the annual event became so popular that it continued to encourage staff to stay fit and healthy.

Come rain or shine, NELFT is giving staff the opportunity to meet and compete with colleagues and learn something new about physical health and overall wellbeing. It’s a great opportunity to focus on the new partnerships that are developing inside and outside our organisation.

Activities will include the popular five-a-side football tournament run by the professional Football Association accredited referees from Leyton Orient football club, rounders, tug-of-war, holistic therapies and lots more.
