Sunflowers inpatient unit - Morris ward

Low secure inpatient services are for patients detained under the mental health act who require care and treatment under conditions of low security due to the nature of the risk they pose to themselves and others.

The service will accept men aged 18 and over with severe and enduring mental illness who have persistent, complex and challenging needs who cannot be safely assessed and treated in an open and acute facility and do not require the level of security only available in medium and high secure settings. This includes histories of aggression, absconding, criminal offences, severe and intractable clinical symptoms, serious drug or alcohol misuse.
The ward team includes a medical team, consultant psychiatrist, nurses and occupational therapists.
