Barking and Dagenham Children, Young People and Families Health Service are hosting a launch event on Monday 16th June 2025 at Barking Town Square from 11am to 3pm.

The Barking and Dagenham Children and Families Health service delivers the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) in partnership with Barnardo's. The HCP is a health care programme that is offered to families/ carers with children from antenatal to 19 years of age. 
 
Working with GPs, Family Hubs, schools, and voluntary services, this programme aims to give babies, children, young people and all families the best start in life, supporting health and wellbeing development as and when needed 
 
This free event will be a chance for families to find out health information, speak to a health visitor/school nurse, meet new people and enjoy free children’s activities. 

Available on the day: 

  • Health visitors or school nurses
  • Baby, children, young people and family health advice 
  • Baby bank, home and money hub 
  • Sign up for baby massage 
  • Volunteering opportunities 
  • Free activities for children
