AI virtual assistant enhances access to Children’s Therapy services

NELFT is excited to announce the expansion of Harper, an artificial intelligence (AI) virtual agent designed to make managing appointments faster, easier, and more convenient.

Harper is now live across children’s therapy services in Barking and Dagenham, Havering, Redbridge and Waltham Forest, supporting appointment management for occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech and language therapy (service availability varies by borough).

Barking and Dagenham chosen as national pioneer for neighbourhood health

Barking and Dagenham has been selected as one of the first areas in England to take part in a new national NHS programme that will bring health and care services closer to home.

Neighbourhood health is a way of delivering care that brings together health, social care, and community services to support people where they live.

Keep yourself and others well this winter

Flu isn’t just a bad cold. It hit hard last winter and many people ended up in hospital. Get vaccinated as early as you can to protect yourself and those around you.  

This year anyone aged 65 and over, adults and children with certain health conditions, pregnant women, frontline health and social care workers and children aged 2 to 16 can get a free vaccination. You can get them easily from a local pharmacy, GP or in school.

Talking Therapies launch inclusive pathway for people with hearing loss

NELFT Talking Therapies services in London have launched a new specialist pathway for those with hearing loss. This new auditory pathway will enable those who may have experienced difficulty in accessing support with their mental health the opportunity to access services through either British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation or through a text based digital therapy.
