Osteoarthritis

Anterior knee pain or patella femoral joint pain

This refers to pain coming from the front of the knee. You may suffer with pain when going up and down stairs, stiffness when sitting for long periods and clicking can be common. Factors such as weakness, weight, poor biomechanics or muscle tension can be why pain takes longer to resolve. Physiotherapists can help with this condition to look at your biomechanics and see if there are any muscle imbalances.
