CQC Rates NELFT As Good

NELFT today, 26 August 2022, welcomed the publication of the Care Quality Commission’s (CQC) report into our services following the Well-Led Review earlier in the year. We are delighted with the new overall rating of ‘Good’ as this reflects the improvements we have made to move from our previous ‘Requires Improvement’ rating.

Friends of Goodmayes Donate Over £60,000 To The Health Way Foundation

The Friends of Goodmayes, a charitable association consisting of several retired volunteers, came into operation shortly after the opening of Goodmayes Hospital in 1901. After over 100 years of service, the Friends of Goodmayes made an incredible donation of over £60,000 to the Heath Way Foundation, NELFT’s charity that funds projects that aim to ‘help patients access the best possible care when they need it the most’.

With the launch of Corringham approaching over the coming months, the team recently invited Councillor’s Deborah Huelin and Shane Ralph from Thurrock Local Council on a site tour of the space to see the new facility and showcase the community-focused new build. The representatives were joined by representatives from partner organisations who will operate from Corringham upon opening.

Kent Non-Violent Resistance Training: A Parent’s First-Hand Account of the Experience

For many families in Kent receiving care through Children and Adolescents Mental Health Services (CAMHS), the process of supporting Children and Young People (CYP) can present highly challenging issues.

With no previous treatment or outreach in the region for parents experiencing difficulties and challenges caring for CYP amidst mental health crises, the first Non-Violent Resistance parent group was introduced into North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) Kent CAMHS in 2019 with very positive results.
