Psychologists at North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) and University College London (UCL) have developed a new framework to improve mental health inpatients’ psychological wellbeing through a range of “psychosocial” treatments, hoping to reduce the overreliance on medical treatments.

Generous Waltham Forest therapy colleagues donate toys and books to school children in Zimbabwe

Silobile Moyo, is an Occupational Therapist working in Waltham Forest as a Community Rehabilitation Lead. At the start of this year, she and some of her Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Assistant colleagues kindly donated some toys and books to children at Alpha Primary School, in Fort Rixon, Zimbabwe.

North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) has reached the finals of the ‘Best for Carers & Eldercare’ category in the Working Families Best Practice Awards.

The awards celebrate employers whose stand-out cultures and working practices are leading the way in flexible and employee-friendly workplaces. NELFT has been shortlisted for the Best for Carers & Eldercare category because of some key initiatives.
