Monday 7 February marks the beginning of National Apprentice Week with this year’s theme being #BuildtheFuture.

From 1 February 2022, the NELFT Barnet Children Integrated Therapies service (CIT) will be managed and delivered by Whittington Health NHS Trust.

We have joined a growing number of organisations committing to a new way of measuring social impact.

This month, students from Graham James Primary School helped to add some much-needed greenery to the front garden of the new Corringham Integrated Medical Centre (IMC) building. With the new IMC due to open in Spring 2022, the planting ceremony offered local students the opportunity to get involved in dressing up the premises.

On 1 December 2021, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) published its Community Mental Health Survey 2021. Over 250 NELFT patients responded to the survey, which asks adults who use community mental health services about their experiences.

We are delighted to announce that NELFT won two RIDI (Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative) awards on Friday 3 December 2021 for our work on disability initiatives at NELFT.

This Friday 3 December, is International Day for People with Disabilities. 

To show our support and to mark the event, our EDI Team and our Disability Staff Network are delivering an inspiring and informative session for NELFT staff. The aim is to help create a shift in the way we think about disability and to build allyship between people who are disabled and people who are not disabled. Active allyship is at the heart of disability equality, particularly in the workplace.

Basildon Council officially bestowed the Freedom of Entry to the Borough to NELFT at an awards ceremony celebrating extraordinary services to residents during the coronavirus pandemic.

A super week for NELFT with three nominatons and two wins in national prestigious awards. 

On Monday 15November, NELFT had the pleasure of being invited by The Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association for Greater London, to attend this year’s Royal Gun Salute in honour of the 73rd birthday of HRH Prince of Wales.

Matthew McArdle is a Senior Pharmacist here at NELFT, working in our Essex CAMHS service.  He will be carrying out a range of activities over the coming months in an attempt to raise money for mental health issues, particularly in children.

Self Care Week is the annual national event that raises awareness of what we can all do to improve our physical health and mental wellbeing. This year, the theme is Practise Self Care for Life.
