This week, NELFT is celebrating Autism Acceptance Week bringing awareness and helping to create a society that works for autistic people.

It is estimated that around one percent of the adult population is autistic. Autism is a lifelong condition that affects how people perceive the world and interact with others. Seen as a developmental condition, characterised by impairments in social interaction, social imagination, and communication.

The Relational Care Faculty (RCF) held a launch event today at the City Gates Conference Centre in Ilford.

NELFT is the first NHS trust to establish a Relational Care Faculty to transform mental healthcare for patients and their families.  

NELFT’s values and strategy have been co-produced with contributions from over 500 staff, involvement representatives, patients, and service users, to reflect the kind of Trust it aspires to be and how it strives to provide the best care by the best people.

The Relational Care Faculty is hosting a launch event on Wednesday 5 February from 10am-4pm at the City Gates Conference Centre in Ilford. 

Good oral health is very important for a child's growth and can affect their health. Starting good tooth brushing habits as soon as their first tooth comes in, which usually happens around six months old, can help prevent tooth decay and other problems later on.
