Referrals

Anyone can refer to CTT. Self-referral can be made by patients or through their carers direct to the service. Referrals can also be made via GPs and healthcare professionals direct to the service : in which case, r eferrals should be triaged by the medical professional prior to referral to CTT to ensure suitability. Patients must supply consent for referral to CTT

Criteria:  Have a non life-threatening, acute physical health condition that would ordinarily mean attending A&E; be housebound, live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering or Redbridge and are aged 18 and over. We are unable to accept patients who require a hospital admission but are declining.

Discharge: On discharge a letter is send to the patient’s GP surgery discharge NHS email account, detailing treatment provided by the service and any recommendations for the clinician. All haematology and pathology reports can be viewed on BHR Cyberlab in detail.
