NELFT is proud to announce that the Barking and Dagenham District Nursing Team has been shortlisted for a Student Nursing Times award in the Best Student Placement category.

The team have supported practicing students whilst they are on placement at the trust.

One student said:

“Everyone in the Barking and Dagenham District Nursing Team are incredibly welcoming and always involve students in every aspect of the learning process.

“Nurses in the team were mentors and great teachers, deeply invested in students' development, ensuring that students are included in all activities. Their high-quality care and informative mentorship have been invaluable, making the experience both enriching and enjoyable.

“The emphasis was always on developing and upholding the professionalism of nurses and nursing students.”

The Practice Experience Facilitation team thanked the team for their hard work and for living the NELFT values in the welcome and experience they provided for the students.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place in London on the 2 May 2025.
