NELFT's Kent and Medway All-Age Eating Disorder Service is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a Quality Network for Community CAMHS accreditation for Children and Young People. This accreditation, awarded by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, recognises that the service meets high standards for quality, safety, and patient experience.

For patients and families, this means:

  • Confidence in care – the service has been independently assessed as safe, effective, and compassionate.
  • High standards – the team follows evidence-based practices and national guidelines tailored for children and young people.
  • Patient-centred approach – young people and their families are actively involved in shaping care and treatment plans.
  • Continuous improvement – the team is committed to ongoing learning, peer review, and listening to patient feedback.

During the accreditation process, the Kent and Medway All-Age Eating Disorder Service has engaged in peer reviews with patients, staff and liaison colleagues to develop and improve procedures, policies and practices to ensure they are continually providing the highest quality care to children and young people.

Dr Susie Greenwood, Interim Strategic and Clinical Lead, said:

“We are extremely proud as a team to have achieved this accreditation, which recognises the high standards we value and adhere to in order to provide the best possible eating disorders service to Kent and Medway.”
