Congratulations to the One Voice team for winning the Advancing Healthcare Award for Cancer Care. This achievement is a fantastic recognition of the team’s commitment to improving care and outcomes for people who have undergone laryngectomy surgery as they get used to life after surgery.

The awards event was held on Friday 19 June at the Royal Garden Hotel in London and brought healthcare teams from across the UK together to celebrate best practice having positive impacts on patients and service users.

The judges were impressed by how the team targeted a clear service gap to bring improved patient engagement and independence to those in the community who needed support.

One Voice is the UK’s first comprehensive domiciliary laryngectomy service, designed and co-produced with patients to support people both before and after surgery.   You can read more about One Voice online.

This award is a testament to the passion and dedication demonstrated by the team in developing and delivering One Voice. Their work exemplifies the power of co-production and person-centred care in transforming patient outcomes and experiences.
