We have appointed three new Executive Directors to the Trust Board.

Congratulations to Brid Johnson who was successful in securing the role of Chief Operating Officer. Brid has been our Acting Executive Director of Integrated Care for London since 1 July 2022. She is a nurse by background with over 30 years’ experience working in the NHS, joining NELFT in 2010. Brid will start her role as Chief Operating Officer from 1 March 2024.

Dr Mohit Venkataram will be joining us as our Deputy Chief Executive. Mohit joins us from East London NHS Foundation Trust where he is the Executive Director of Commercial Development. He has extensive strategic and operational management experience across the NHS and social care. He will be taking up the position on 1 May 2024, although he will be joining us part time from 1 March 2024.

Our new Chief Finance Officer is Navin Kalia who is currently the Deputy Director of Finance and Corporate Resources at Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust. Navin brings a wealth of experience having operated at Deputy or Senior Finance level roles across a variety of NHS organisations whose services have covered ambulance, community, primary care, public health and acute provision, allowing him to gain a breadth of NHS commissioner and provider services knowledge. Navin will be joining NELFT early in the new financial year.

Paul Calaminus, Chief Executive, said

“I know you will join me in congratulating all three of our colleagues and providing a warm welcome to them in their new roles. I am looking forward to working with them as part of the Executive Management Team and wider Trust Board.”
