The TIDEmark allows our organisation to measure progress in Equality, Diversity & Inclusion practice both year on year and in comparison with our peers.
NELFT has been assessed and scored across eight individual sections:

- Recruitment & Attraction
- Training & Development
- Other Employment Practices
- Communication & Engagement
This year enei had a record number of entries - 98 organisations from 26 sectors who took part, of which 51 achieved an award.
NELFT had been successful in obtaining gold standard among 13 other organisations including Home Office, Ministry of Justice and Nationwide.
The award comes after the Trust and the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion team have been named winners of Disability Confident award and Overall Public Sector Winner 2020 by enei, as well as highly commended for Inclusive Culture and Innovative Ways of Working earlier this year.
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion is not a single person’s or one team’s job and it is up to all of us to expand our knowledge, understanding and acceptance of each other’s personality and individual skills and continue to lead our organisation on the path of success.
