Our Chief Executive, Paul Calaminus, will be leaving NELFT in the coming months to take up the role of Chief Executive at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM).
Our Trust Chair, Eileen Taylor said:
“While we will be very sad to see Paul go, this move reflects the significant contribution he has made during his time at NELFT and the esteem in which he is held across the NHS. As Paul prepares to move to his new role, I want to acknowledge the depth of his contribution and the positive legacy he leaves behind - one defined by compassion, clarity, strengthened systems and a renewed sense of collective purpose. I would like to extend my personal thanks to Paul for the extraordinary working relationship we have built over the past 7 1/2 years at two trusts. I am a better Chair for having worked with Paul, and what will always stay with me is how we as leaders must remain grounded in our purpose.”
Commenting on his new role, Paul said:
“It has been a privilege to work with everyone at NELFT. Thank you to everyone who has done so much to support all the work of the Trust through a challenging time, and I look forward to seeing the Trust thrive over the next few years.”
The Board will begin a search for a new substantive Chief Executive Officer for our Trust before the end of April with the aim of making an appointment by the end of June. Should it be necessary to implement interim arrangements, we will communicate that in due course.
