NELFT’s Communications and Engagement team were awarded the Corporate Services at the National Unsung Hero Awards 2024.

The awards brought together the teams and individuals in the NHS who often go unnoticed and to celebrate their achievements. All nominees work in Non-Medical / Non-Clinical functions.

The Corporate Services award recognises teams who provide support to many areas of the Trust, such as Communications, Finance, and Human Resources.

NELFT’s Communications and Engagement team are the voice of the Trust and provide support across a broad range of internal and external programmes of work supporting patients, service users, colleagues, and the public.

Members of the team attended the event at the iconic Manchester Hilton hotel last Friday, which included performances from the Manchester Foundation Trust Choir.

Carrie-Ann Wade, Director of communications, engagement, and charitable funds, said:

“I am extremely proud of all the work of our communications and engagement team at NELFT. Often the wider organisation and stakeholders only get to see a small amount of the outcomes of our work, so it is great to be recognised for the skill and expertise we deliver across such a broad range of deliverables. It is great to work with so many talented and hard-working communications professionals at NELFT and across the NHS as a whole.”
