Two NELFT teams, the Thurrock Frailty Team and the Pharmacy Team, were proud to attend the prestigious Nursing Times Awards 2025 for their innovative project, 'Collaborative Care: Enhancing Frailty Management through Nurse-Pharmacist Partnerships.'
The project was shortlisted in two highly competitive categories: Care of Older People and Patient Safety Improvement.
The awards ceremony took place on 22 October 2025 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel in London, bringing together healthcare professionals from across the country to celebrate excellence in nursing and patient care.
Although the teams did not take home a trophy, being shortlisted for such prestigious awards is a fantastic achievement and a testament to their dedication to improving patient outcomes through collaborative working. Reflecting on the experience, Jayshree Sharma, Consultant Pathway Pharmacist for Frailty and Older People, said:
“Although we did not win, it was a fantastic achievement to be shortlisted and to celebrate alongside other inspiring teams.”
This recognition follows earlier success for the project, which was nominated for four national awards earlier this year. You can read more about those nominations in our previous article: Frailty care pilot nominated for four national awards
