Our Non-Executive Director, Sue Lees, to join ELFT Board as local Trusts strengthen collaboration

Sue Lees, North East London Foundation and Barking Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals non-executive director, will join the board at East London Foundation as part of the local NHS Trusts close collaborative approach.

Sue is a qualified chartered accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in both the private and public sectors, including periods working within the NHS and local government. She has led large capital programmes, including the delivery of a number of new healthcare facilities within Barking, Dagenham, Havering and Brentwood, as well as leading several back-office services in local government, using information technology.

Eileen Taylor, the joint Chair for both NELFT and ELFT, welcomed the appointment:

“Closer collaboration across NHS organisations is essential to achieve our vision of improving population health outcomes and to improve access, experience and outcomes by acting as one NHS. I am confident that Sue’s local knowledge, relationships and skills on 3 boards in the system will help us get their faster.”
