We believe in supporting young people to put their mind first, and to take time to look after and value their own mental health and wellbeing as much as their physical health. That is why we developed the MindFresh App and website; to allow young people to access trusted, reliable self-help resources for some of the most common mental health concerns. We know that the majority of young people that come to mental health services do not need long periods of support and in fact many say they find the advice they were given was the most helpful. This is why we've put loads of helpful information online for you to access without having to be referred or come into our services.
We also understand the importance of families and the unique pressures and concerns child mental health can cause so we have included resources and support for those too. It can all be accessed in exactly the same way.
For young people who need some additional support, the Medway Young Persons' Wellbeing Service is happy to take a referral from anyone. You can refer yourself, a family member or a friend.
When we offer direct support it is tailored to meet the needs of each young person individually and no two sessions will ever look the same. We can offer support at different locations and times depending on what works best for you.
